In-House Competitions

The scoring of the OWCA In-House Competition is quite unique. It was designed and recommended by Terry Smith. The essence of it, that there are no appointed judges, but all present at the competition are allowed to vote. Ballots are placed at the beginning of all levels, it lists the categories of that level, and there is a room to enter the best of level. At the end of that level, there is a collection box to drop the ballots in. The organizers count the ballots and the ribbons are distributed. There is no best of show in this competition. Looking at the results, one must agree with this method. Even if all individual selections are totally subjective, the summery of them objectively provides the best result.
